FINAL OUTCOME, ONCE MORE_
Just going to post my final outcome once more so we can take a last look at it and as a logical end to the rest of my previous posts.
INDIVIDUALLY:
Voilà voilà. Au revoir mes amis.

I absolutely loved this one because I thought it perfectly conveyed exactly what my concept was about and it looked exactly like what I wanted my final outcome to look like. It was lively, effortless, airy, very airy, with no perception or measure of time. But rather floating through it and space_
My next step was figuring out what to do with these designs. My concept at this point revolved around transforming the heart into an object of art (that lives through time), stepping away from it’s mortal aspect and perceived inevitable death by the living. The means of doing that was through forms of art that transmitted movement.
I first tried an app for the iPhone (very kindly lent by a cool tutor named Zak) called Poppy 3D, that basically makes 3D images which is pretty cool. Except it didn’t work out, I had to take photos of my play dough hearts and it wasn’t looking good or effective enough. So out of that failure I looked up how to make animated GIF’S and I made it work. Here is the 1st one:
After that I just kept on making more and more.
Here’s the link to the youtube tutorial that used to learn how to make the gif’s:

I bought a real pig’s heart (which is the heart most resemblant to a human heart, in size as well) because I wanted to get a feel of a real heart, the colour, the texture, consistency,etc.. I dissected the heart to take a closer look at the inside, it’s mechanism, the veins, arteries… which actually looked like paths and roads and I found that very interesting and rather inspiring.
I used the blood from the pig’s heart and smothered it all over a piece of paper creating these textures which I will later use and transform in my designs.

2ND EXPERIMENTATION AROUND THE HEART:
I MADE A A HEART OUT OF PLAY DOUGH AND DECIDED TO START PAINTING OVER THE TOP. ONCE WITH RED METALLIC PAINT, THEN ANOTHER LAYER OF NORMAL PAINT ADDING DETAILS, AND THIRT POURING RED GLITTERY PAINT (like blood but not quite – idea of transition. )
But then we move on to other thoughts for a form for this project. I think on how something that has movement seems lively, similar to alive, therefore I started looking into art forms that created or conveyed movement:
Thinking of this and looking into it was a great decisive point as i really felt I had something with this idea of working with art forms that transmitted movement/life.
